Yankee Zulu a.k.a. Drummen
Rider: Todd Minikus Owner: YZ – Partners / USA Bred by rider / trainer legend Paul Schockemöhle, Yankee Zulu showed under his name Drummen very successful in the young jumper suitability classes. He qualified for the Federal Championships at the age of five and placed fourth in the finals. The following year we found him for Todd Minikus, who started to show him very successful under his new name Yankee Zulu, during the summer up and down the American east coast. At the age of seven, he competing awesome successful at the WEF circuit in Florida, with top ribbons in the big Grand Prix classes. The same year Yankee Zulu was nominated for the Nations Cup tour in Europe. With plenty of good ribbons in Gijon /Spain, St’ Gallen / CH, Donaueschingen / Germany, winning the Hans-Günter Winkler Trophy and winning the Grand Prix of Prague, made him the “talk of the show grounds”. Back in the US, Yanky Zulu showed continuously with great success, and was again, nominated for the 1998 Nations Cup tour in Europe, including Arnhem / NL and the most prestigious horse show in the world, the CHIO Aachen. Later on, Yankee Zulu started his second successful career in the “high junior” jumper classes. |
