Rider: Anne Kursinski / USA Under the name”Champ Ass“ he is a licensed stallion by the Breeding Association of German Horses (ZFDP). He started his career in the German young jumper classes with lots of success. He started successful at the age of seven in the open classes, with blue ribbons in classes up to 1.50 meter. At the age of eight he showed successful in the big Grand Prix classes and was the youngest horse showing at the world wide toughest and most prestigious Hamburg Derby, where we discovered him for Olympian Anne Kursinski. During a short trip to Germany she decided immediately to get Champ to New Jersey. Their first appearance on American soil was the following WEF circuit 2008 in Wellington / Florida. Here they started in a few 1.45 meter classes and aimed for the WEF Grand Prix (1.50 meter) with great success and started 2 days later awesome in the first Sunday Grand Prix. Super coach Georg Morris convinced Anne and Champ’s owner to try out for the Olympic Games. Out of a field of more than 70 starters, Anne and Champ ended up 3rd in the overall rankings for the Olympic Games. Anne showed Champ first time in Europe at the horse show at La Baule / France, St’ Gahlen / Switzerland and became a member of the American Nations Cup team for the Super League in Rotterdam and the CHIO Aachen. Anne and Champ were the perfect match for the international high performance Grand Prix classes. Today Champ shows with Rodrigo Pessoa at international level and successful at the GCT in Doha. At the WEF circuit 2010 they both won the $ 75.000,00 Grand Prix class after a fast jump off against a lot of top US horse / rider combinations. |
