His bright open minded face already shows his intelligence! “In a sound body, lives a sound and very good functioned brain!” And he knows how to move his body! Very elegant and correct in his movements, with top impulsion in all three basic gates, he showed right off the bat his super skills at the jumps. He always jumps in a “close to perfect” form, with a good balance in the air, very careful and equipped with the ultimate scope.

In the meanwhile Apalachicola has successful mileage in the German young jumper classes and will be ready for the “Youngster Tour” classes. His quality doesn’t leave any room for doubts and speculation! We’ll see him in the big show jumping courses of tomorrow. He is exactly what his pedigree indicates, a well bred super sport horse for the future.

His dam Centa SZ, by Carthago Z, got in training with international Grand Prix rider Gudrun Pattet / Belgium, right after Apalachicloa was weaned# After their first years of experiences in the young horse classes, they already showed at the age of seven successful at the Zangersheide World Championships for young jumpers# Now, in the last few years they show successful at 3* and 4* CSI level#

Apalachicola’s grand dam Sans Saucis S, by the international Grand Prix stallion Nonstop, won twice the jumper championships in Luxemburg# The international successful progeny from this dam line are Walesko, by Landatto, out of Sans Saucis S, was champion of the CSI youngster tour in Lummen / Belgium# Next in line would be the reserve World Champion of the five year old jumpers Quasimodo, by Toulon# Quasimodo became one of the top sellers at the world famous PSI auction 2005#

One of the “back bone” stallions in Apalachicola’s pedigree is the French stallion Primo des  Bruyeres, the sire of the Atlanta Olympic “double” gold medalist Jus de Pomme / Ulli Kirchhoff for Germany# Primo des Bruyeres is a son of the famous and legendary thoroughbred stallion Night and Day xx, who appears in the pedigree of lots of international high performance jumpers# “Thoroughbred genes are the juice to produce miracles!”

Besides the international successful Grand Prix jumper Onyx, by Lys De Darmen, showing under Italian flag, there is the very close relative to Apalachicola, the international Grand Prix jumper Vangelis S# Vangelis S shows very successful under tack with Robert Smith, as a member of numerous Nations Cups for Great Britain# They are on their way to the WEG in Kentucky 2010#   

A substantial addition is the sire in fourth generation of Apalachicola’s pedigree background, the Hanoverian bred stallion Goldspring de Lauzelle, a#k#a# Grandstern II# His pedigree includes most of the best athletic genes of the world famous Hanoverian breed# In connection with the fabulous thoroughbred stallion Alcanar xx, continuing in the following generations, this pedigree integrates the very valuable French and Oldenburg blood lines and the basic KWPN genes from the early 19 hundreds#

One of the most successful offspring from Apalachicola's family line is Vangelis S a strong member of the Great Britain Nations Cup Team and successful international Grand Prix jumper under tack of Robert Smith#
